JONI ROBERTS STOVER - FEBRUARY 6, 1939 - JANUARY 25, 2024
Joni Stover, 84, of Jacksonville passed away January 25, 2024. She was born February 6, 1939 in Little Rock to the late Mary (Hand) and John Roberts Sr. In addition to her parents, Joni was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Stover; and brother, John Robert II. Joni had a bachelor’s degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher for several years. She went on to pursue a path as a pharmaceutical representative. It was during this journey in life that she met her husband, the late Curtis Stover, MD. Joni was a strong willed, jovial, comedic and feisty lady. She loved to travel, read, cook, and host parties. Her little fur babies, Lillie and Spook, were her best friends. She was an avid sports fan - college teams were her favorite. She was a lifelong fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Joni is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Roberts; niece, Kathy Mogish; nephews, Scott, Jason, and John Roberts III; as well as her good friends, Regatta Mitchell and Shirley Reed. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. Joni will be interred at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church Columbarium at a later date.
