2021.07.15 THROW BACK THURSDAY - HAIL TO THE OLD GOLD
Hail to the Old Gold was adapted from the University of Illinois' Alma Mater "Hail to the Orange."
Harold V. Hill composed the music and Howard R. Green composed the lyrics for Hail to the Orange.
L. Bruce Jones was the first band director at the "new" Little Rock High School. Mr. Jones had just
graduated from the University of Illinois and brought their Alma Mater with him to LRHS. I am
pretty sure that he simply modified the lyrics slightly from Hail to the Orange to fit our school colors.
THANK YOU SCOTT WHITFIELD, CHOIR DIRECTOR AT LRCHS!
Class News

REUNION NEWS
On the Registration Form each of you received, right after the place to sign up for the Saturday night
banquet are two places to order a DIRECTORY OF CLASSMATES. Several of you are missing it
and calling asking why we're not doing a Directory. We are!!!
If you want a Directory mailed to you, cost is $20.
If you want to pick up your Directory while you're at the Reunion, they are $15.
If you've already sent your Registration form in, but missed ordering a Directory, just let me know.
It's a good idea to go on and make your hotel reservation. If something happens that you can't make it,
you can always cancel the reservation. But if they fill up and you don't call until the last minute, you
might be disappointed. We don't want that to happen. Also if you feel better in a handicapped room,
there are only a few so grab one fast.

particular thing on the computer or our iPad:
