Nore from Barbara Welton McDonald - Ruth Byrn, the author of a new heartwarming novel/memoir, is a friend of mine.
Our friendship began at ESJH in seventh grade and we have remained friends ever since, though she finished high school at
Mount St. Mary’s. At our age, she has published her first novel, Fourth and Victory —I’d love to see it on the best sellers list!
It is set in LR during the WWII years and includes so many memories we have in common. I’ve written a brief review on Amazon,
where the paperback or ebook can be purchased. It’s free to Kindle Unlimited members.
A reminder:
A memorial service for our recently deceased Classmate, Janice Ward, will be held at the First Christian Church
located at 14411 Taylor Loop Road, at 11:30 AM, Friday, November 19. Larry Ward, Janice's brother, has invited her
friends and classmates to attend.

Thanks, Marylou, for all the work you are putting in on this. I would be glad to add a few lines, and perhaps a picture or two,
to this stream of correspondence if (1) that would be appropriate, and (2) you would tell me what I need to do to accomplish that.
Best regards, Neil Harper LRCHS '1955

Mary Lou,What a great job you are doing! So sorry I missed the reunion, but still Covid restricted in my retirement home. This is the first reunion I have missed. Loving being close to one of my two children here in Athens, GA. Will never adjust fully to supporting the Georgia Bulldogs. Keep up the good work…my birthday is September 19, 1937. Just turned 84 and still kicking!

Note to Diana Loy and William Shepherd from Barbara Welton ('56):
Wonderful letter. Happy to read notes from our ‘55 friends. I remember Diana Loy and William Shepherd well.
I think Diana was in the A Capella choir with me. And maybe with you. Must look up that photo!
